"Margaret Bateson-Hill is an inspiration!

Her extraordinary storytelling is a combination of magical transportation and practical organisation... she weaves a web of stories filled with stimulating images and vocabulary that the children love to explore and use.

Head Teacher- Battersea, South London

I charge £375 per day plus my travel – from Brixton, South London

I am very happy to do all-school assemblies in a primary school setting - usually an interactive folk tale to get the day off to a flying start.

I will devise a specific assembly/ talk or workshop for a school. The workshops mentioned below give a flavour of what I can offer.

Sessions are 40-60 minutes long (or as long as you’ll give me.)

Nursery / Reception

I am very happy to work with your nursery and foundation classes  using either Five Little Ducks went out one day or This Little Piggy , both interactive, lift the flap, extended retellings of the popular rhymes.

•I offer follow up craft and story activities

•I also tell interactive traditional tales from around the world.

Years 1-6

Storytelling of book – Lao Lao of Dragon Mountain or Masha and the Firebird

•With follow up creative writing and/ or craft based on the Folk Tale series

You made it so magical no one could take their eyes off you!

Sybilla year 6

Years 4-6

Workshop based on the Dragon Racer series including an author talk and setting up a piece of creative writing.

•Discover your own secret self!

•Ever wanted to fly a racing dragon? Create your own dragon and tell the tale of the day you met.

You really convinced us that if you take a closer look at things there just might be a dragon on your shoulder.

Holly year 6

These books are currently out of print. I still have a few copies for sale and am happy to come and run workshops.
