Just bits and pieces about the life of an author...

A poem for Winter

By Margaret Bateson-Hill, Dec 19 2017 04:09PM

I've been writing poems with an outdoor theme. Here's one for WInter.

Jack Frost: Street Artist.

He arrives unseen;

Late at night

Or just before dawn.

His winter breath

Graffiti-ing the path,

Spraying windows,

And scrawling white slogans

On car windscreens.

Cold works,

Not for sale,

Signed and dated

With his ice feather pen.

All originals.

All different.

But it’s look, don’t touch

Or they vanish,

Never to be seen again.
