Dragon by Thomas Dawson
Dragon by Thomas Dawson

If I were a dragon instead of me!

If I were a dragon instead of me…

My body would be lean and green

And covered in shiny scales.

My breath would blast hot red flames;

My eyes would trap you in their gaze.

My powerful tail would sweep away my foes,

Whilst my curved talons would quickly snatch my prey.

I’d roar and hiss and sleep in a cave,

Guard treasure, scorch forests and soar the bluest sky.

I think perhaps I’d like it

If I were a dragon instead of me!
